PUBLICATIONS

Laura is a contributor to the CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL books. One of her stories appeared in their FAMILY CAREGIVER book and another in MY VERY GOOD, VERY BAD CAT. In January 2016, she won a short story contest sponsored by wordsandbrushes.com. Her winning entry, “HEAD OVER HEELS,” is posted on their site. Laura is also the author of AN ORANGUTAN’S NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS, a humorous picture book, published by the Pelican Publishing Company. She was inspired to write this story after her friend, Jim, told her he used to wrap presents for his dog who enjoyed opening them. This made her think about how pets give so much joy to their owners and ask for so little in return. That’s when she decided to write a story about animals receiving gifts.
